The Amazon.com Bangalore Development Center is looking for a senior recruiter to join our progressive recruiting team. In this role, you’ll pre-qualify the best and brightest technical and business people from around India. You’ll be part of a recruiting team that supports several of our key business groups (like Web Services, Associates, A9 and Risk Management). You’ll focus on finding great candidates on job boards (like monster.com) and niche or industry. To be great in this role, you’ll need to learn how to craft fantastic job postings, sleuth top candidates who match the experience and educational requirements, pre-screen those candidates (brief interviews over the phone), market the best candidates to the hiring managers you support, and help with recruiting research projects. It’s a fast-paced role, requiring a ton of juggling and daily prioritizing.

What does a typical day look like?

You’ll spend about ½ of your day searching for new resumes in the databases or on the internet job boards. You’ll spend about ¼ of your day interacting with other recruiters or the hiring managers you support, and the other ¼ of your day interacting with the candidates you find. You’ll find great people, approach them about opportunities here and, if they’re from out of town, sell them on moving to Bangalore. The work you do to recruit and relocate top talent- will honestly change people’s lives. After a few weeks, you’ll make your first hire and you’ll remember the feeling of helping someone find that perfect job.

Qualifications: 

  • To be successful as a Sr. level recruiter, you need to have:
  • 6+ years of recruiting experience; preferably sourcing technical talent
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in excel and outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A natural interest in recruiting, technology and on-line retail
  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred
